Welcome to Fenland Archery Club
Greater Peterborough’s youngest and most vibrant
archery club. Our members have a variety of experience ranging from
those new to the sport to very experienced archers and Archery GB
licensed coacheswho are happy to
assist new members by passing on their experience. Our club members have been
county and east anglian champions in virtually all bow categories to
date.
The club is registered with both Archery GB (formerly Grand National Archery Society - GNAS) and National Field Archery Society (NFAS). Uniquely amongst local archery clubs we offer prospective achers a specific training programme run by licensed coaches. Accept no substitutes. You don’t even need to have your own archery equipment to begin with as we have training equipment available for all new members!
The club shoots at Sir Harry Smith Community College, where we have the pleasure of shooting on the finest archery grounds in the greater Peterborough area and one of the finest outdoor archery ranges anywhere in the UK. We also have a superb indoor range at the school. We are a growing club with plenty of capacity at our venue and are always interested in talking to new members, with or without previous experience.
We shoot all common types of bow including recurve, compound,
flatbow, English longbow and Mongolian bows. You may also see more
exotic bows such as the japanese Kyudo bow in use on occasion.
Whether you are interested in archery as a hobby and an opportunity to meet new people or to take a serious interest, improve your skill level and get involved in competitions, our club will be happy to accommodate you.
To join our club or get more information on where
we shoot, have a look at the Where We Shoot
or the Contact Us pages.
Please note that
the club range is located at the rear of Sir Harry Smith Community
College. Please do not enter the school buildings via the main
reception.
